Soirées
London soirées with food, music and new connections, in unusual stylish locations
NEW DATES: Saturday 12 February 2022
Rachael Barraclough has been hosting musical soirées in her Brixton home once a month for the last 6 years and has since been asked to do them for others. Her soirees are an eclectic mix of all ages and interests, and include key figures from across the arts, politics and business worlds. There is a sense of wonder and informality about these evenings. For Rachael, the key thing is for people to meet, connect and try to help each other: many collaborations and friendships have come about thanks to meetings made at her soirées. The soirées are by invitation only; subscribe to our newsletter here for more details as sometimes they are open to the public.
Rachael also hosts soirées for organisations with Radio HP being her most recent client. Her hosting services are available for hire to both companies and individuals. A bespoke soirée includes:
Beautiful, intimate settings in either Brixton or the Isle of Dogs, or in a location of your choice.
Musicians from a range of possible genres including Jazz, Folk, Opera, and Samba, or other artists, speakers and entertainers.
Catering including fine drinks and ingredients sourced from Italy.
Rachael’s hosting skills throughout the night, creating a welcoming and invigorating ambience, new connections and conversations.

‘Dear R, what a super treat to turn up to your lovely house, with its surprisingly concealed beauty and art and comfort. Like a prohibition speak-easy behind a Chinese laundry, yours is a beautifully design lap of luxury and beauty behind a cheery squatter grille. And the lovely guitarist singing like a young Bob Dylan meets the Sugar Man, and how nice to meet the man who brought the satsumas, and the second son of the owner of Dobwalls Light Railway, and your own fabulous company – ohh and the scrummy food and super cheeses and delicious quince jelly. Everyone and everything a coconut as they say in the funfair. And I did love the super pianist giving us the lightest touch of entertainment to the end, so nice to be part of your show. Xxxx’
